We would like to share a case report where a senior dog diagnosed with oral melanoma and given a prognosis of two months was long-term controlled with chemotherapy and Cordy. Cordy is expected to also help reduce the side effects of chemotherapy.

Use of Cordy for Oral Melanoma (Malignant Melanoma) in Dogs

Melanoma in dogs and cats, also known as malignant melanoma or skin cancer, is a highly malignant cancer. We receive daily consultations from owners of dogs and cats suffering from melanoma.

Due to the rapid progression and high malignancy of melanoma, it frequently recurs even after surgery, but the prognosis can be improved depending on the approach.

In this page, we share a case report where Cordy was used for a dog with melanoma that metastasized to lymph nodes.

Information provided by: Ai Animal Hospital
[Lymph Node Metastasis of Melanoma: Combined Use of Cordy, Organic Germanium, and Maruyama Vaccine]

Breed: Miniature Dachshund

Gender: Spayed female
Birthdate: December 10, 2006

From the end of October 2015, swelling was observed in the left parotid gland, and it was excised at another hospital on December 11. Pathological examination diagnosed it as a metastatic melanoma lesion in the lymph node.
Starting from December 30, we began administering Cordy and oral Organic Germanium, and subcutaneous injections of Maruyama Vaccine (administered once a week).
At the initial visit, swelling was noted in the right parotid gland lymph node and the lymph node near the thyroid.

One Month After Treatment Initiation

Lymph node swelling improved. Swelling in the mandibular lymph nodes was sometimes observed depending on the dog’s condition, but it gradually reduced with continued treatment.

Seven to Eight Months After Treatment Initiation

As of July 2016, the dog had good energy and appetite, leading a normal life, but a rapid decline in condition was noted from late August, and the dog passed away in September.

From the owner, we received comments expressing their satisfaction for maintaining the dog’s quality of life without using any chemotherapy.

【Comment from the Laboratory】
Oral melanoma (malignant melanoma) in Miniature Dachshunds is a commonly discussed disease. Due to the high malignancy and high recurrence and metastasis rate after surgery, restoring the dog’s immune function as quickly as possible is considered crucial.
Combined use of Cordy and Organic Germanium might also help in pain relief, contributing to easing post-surgical pain and pain caused by food stimulation.

In our lab, we are researching whether administering Cordy can modulate the immune system and what effects it may have on cancer.
