Case of Using Cordy for a Dog with a Mammary Tumor
|
Cordy administration started in early April 2016.
Photographs from the start of administration.
A large tumor hanging from the abdomen.
The tumor ulcerated due to being bumped in daily life.
Advice from the Laboratory
・Review the homemade diet: remove carbohydrate-rich foods like carrots, sweet potatoes, and rice, and try using other ingredients.
・Since Cordy can also be used topically, spray it on the ulcerated area.
・Keep the stomach warm to activate the immune system (this also helps prevent the tumor from being bumped).
Progress
・The dog ate Cordy well, and the diarrhea subsided.
・No change in the size of the tumor.
・The dog was in good health, and blood tests and X-ray results were not particularly concerning, leading to a suggestion that the tumor could potentially be removed under local anesthesia.
・The odor from the ulcerated area was severe, making the dog’s condition pitiful.
After extensive discussions over the phone, and with the primary veterinarian conceding that surgery could be feasible given the dog’s current strength, the dog underwent surgery under general anesthesia on April 20, 2016.
Considering the dog’s advanced age, the dosage of Cordy was increased before and after the surgery.
Photographs after the surgery.
Current Condition
・Post-surgery, there were no issues with awakening from anesthesia and the patient was discharged safely.
・No lung metastasis was detected. The removed tumor weighed 2.5 kg.
・Although there was some weight loss, the current weight has increased to 8.64 kg.
・There had been no tail wagging for a while, but he has started wagging his tail again after months, possibly due to being freed from pain.
By taking Cordy, the patient gained the strength and immunity needed to undergo surgery, and despite being 17 years old, managed to endure the procedure under general anesthesia. Moving forward, the goal is to prevent recurrence and metastasis and maintain QOL (Quality of Life).
However, I feel the primary reason for this positive progress is that the owner’s worries and negativity turned into a positive, brighter outlook on life.
As we discussed in Mental Health Care as part of Treatment, indeed, the mental aspect has a significant impact on treatment outcomes.
Initially, her voice was often low, and excessive worry took a toll on her health, but after several phone calls addressing her concerns and anxieties one by one, her voice gradually became more energetic and cheerful.
It is challenging to solve all worries, but I believe that even just shifting to a more positive mindset can lead to good results.
We hope to share this story of perseverance at 17 years old with everyone, and to provide hope to those struggling. With the owner’s permission, we decided to publish this story.
To further maximize Cordy’s anti-cancer, anti-inflammatory, and immune-boosting effects, it is essential to gradually overcome any lingering concerns.
Our laboratory continues to research the impact of pet owner’s emotional states on their pets.
Afterwards
Thank you for the surgery!
The discomfort and pain from the tumor have subsided, and now they are lying down and relaxing.
May 5th
Successfully completed the suture removal.
We sprayed Cordy dissolved in water onto the wound.
The pain is minimal, and the wound has surprisingly healed cleanly, considering they are 17 years old.
With the tumor removed, they feel lighter and have even started hopping around.
May 19th
They are eating their meals well, and whereas they used to have a bowel movement every 3-4 days, now they have one every day.
They also made some friends and are enjoying their walks.
May 27th
They started leaning to the right more frequently, so on May 24th, we visited the usual veterinarian who diagnosed them with a possible brain tumor (no examination was done considering the burden on the body).
We were informed that there could be seizures or convulsions in the future, but currently, there are no such symptoms, and their quality of life is maintained.
They are currently taking steroids and vitamins.
June 7th
We stopped the steroids from the second week of June, and there have been no seizures or convulsions.
Their weight has increased to 9 kg.
June 15th
Although there is a slight head tilt, it’s improving and the pet is very lively.
Cordy is administered at 4g per day. Currently, only vitamin supplements are being taken.
The small lump on the right side of the chest that was present post-surgery has also seemingly reduced in size.
The pet gets along well with the grandchildren and appears to be a wonderful older sibling.
Their walking buddies are also amazed at how energetic the pet is despite being 17 years old.
June 23
We received a report that the pet has eaten our recommended Britannia dry food.
※Britannia’s food is made only from ingredients sourced in Hokkaido, ensuring safety and peace of mind.
We also handle products that can be used as toppings for homemade meals and raw food.
We offer consultations on meals, so please consider them.
June 25, 26
The pet’s legs and back have become strong enough to jump onto the sofa where the grandchildren sleep.
Although the pet stumbled during a walk and bumped its nose on the road, causing bleeding, it’s reported that the wound has been healing well after applying Cordy.
There seems to be a slight change in the pet’s walking style, and neighbors have complimented the pet, saying it’s remarkable to be so energetic at this age.
July Update
Sleeping with an arm pillow.
They are rushing to greet their father. We were able to celebrate his 17th anniversary, which is July 7th, happily and healthily.
There was a time when his appetite decreased slightly, so we added cucumber to his meals to help him cope with the heat, and his appetite returned.
There were mornings when he did not wake up at the usual time. However, to prevent his sleep schedule from getting reversed and to avoid disrupting his daily rhythm, which would place more burden on the family, we made sure to wake him up at a set time and take him for a walk. No issues with defecation or urination.
His head tilt remains unchanged, and he sometimes spins around during walks, but he is spending his days energetically.
September’s Condition
When the family was out, he got stuck between the sofa and the wall and ended up scraping his skin while struggling to get out.
We recommended using Cordy both internally and externally. Initially, he was lethargic and had difficulty eating, and he felt pain when we sprayed Cordy, but he showed signs of recovery day by day. By about the tenth day, the wound had completely scabbed over, and now only the largest wound on his ribs remains, with the other scabs having healed nicely.
Even though we did not administer the prescribed antibiotics, there were no signs of infection. The attending veterinarian mentioned that the wounds might take quite some time to heal, but the rapid recovery exceeded their expectations.
October’s Condition
The wounds sustained in September are healing well, and the scab on the ribs has come off cleanly.
From mid-October, he began to show more pronounced symptoms of circling and other abnormal behaviors. These could be age-related changes or perhaps a brain tumor, but we opted not to pursue aggressive treatment. Instead, we included DHA and EPA in his diet and used steroids as needed.
Thinking that herbs might be beneficial, we added Valerian Plus from Nora Corporation, and his symptoms started to lessen.
*Nora Corporation handles pet herbs and supplements, as well as organic herb shampoos and other products.
Since they are herbs, they work gently, and personally, I recommend salmon oil among the supplements.
They also have herbs for human use, so if you are interested in any products, please contact Nora Corporation directly.
Condition in November
In September, hair growth was observed in all areas of the wound. Considering the substantial hair loss and the temporary instability in condition, the attending veterinarian had thought hair regrowth would be difficult and was surprised by the progress.
Previously, the pet could only sleep on its right side, but now it can also sleep on its left side. Overall, the pet is showing signs of recovery.
As it has become colder, the pet is sleeping wrapped in a blanket.
December
We received a report of bleeding during urination. Due to the removal of a mammary tumor considering the pet’s age, only the tumor was excised and no spaying was performed. Considering that the pet had its menstrual cycle around this time of year, the bleeding is likely due to menstruation.
However, as a precaution against possible cystitis, we advised the owner to have the pet checked by its regular veterinarian. Furthermore, the pet exhibited seizure-like tremors in its head in late December, but these were temporary and have since subsided.
Due to changes in hormonal balance from the menstrual cycle, there have been changes in the pet’s condition. To prevent a decline in its strength, the pet is being encouraged to eat well, and steroids are being administered as needed, while monitoring its condition.
January – March 2017
Although age-related symptoms have begun to appear, the pet remains active and maintains a good appetite, and is still going for walks. Previously, the pet could only sleep with its left side down, but it can now sleep with its right side down as well.
Last year, due to the tumor, the pet was unable to enjoy cherry blossom viewing, but this year it was able to do so successfully.
April to June
In April and May, there were reports of worsening reversal of day and night cycles. Considering the senior age-related symptoms, to mitigate this reversal, we incorporated massages, skeletal realignment, and rehabilitation as muscle weakening had started to become evident, and observed the progress.
From June, the repeated daily actions of getting up tens of times seemed to aid rehabilitation, enabling some tail wagging and easing facial inclinations.
Adding a supplement made from natural polyphenols led to initially strong effects. However, by reducing the dosage, the frequency of accidents has decreased, the day-night reversal has started to normalize, and the pet is beginning to sleep more cohesively.
July
On July 7th, they celebrated the 18th anniversary. It was a memorable day marking their acceptance into the family. They received a wheelchair as a present. The pet also started to have more consistent sleep.
On July 15th, it was found that there was a hole in the lung causing air retention. Despite performing air removal, the pet passed away on the 17th.
We extend our deepest condolences.

Valuing Life’s Dignity with Immune System Measures
It is crucial to avoid treatments that overlook the burden on the body, as these can worsen health and shorten life expectancy. Through immune system measures with Cordy, we aim for improved health and a peaceful life, and continue our research based on this belief.
