Expected Effects on Oral Melanoma

Melanoma commonly occurs in both dogs and cats.

Here, we introduce the expected effects of administering Cordy for oral melanoma.

14-year-old Miniature Dachshund. Developed melanoma in the mouth. The veterinarian offered three options: 1. Surgery 2. Radiation Therapy 3. Chemotherapy. Due to the dog’s advanced age, we do not want to cause unnecessary suffering. However, it is also hard to just watch without doing anything. Is there any good alternative?

Typically, as your vet mentioned, aggressive treatments such as options 1-3 are the main approach for tumor treatment. However, aggressive treatment in a weakened state can often result in a ‘can’t see the forest for the trees’ scenario, leading to a condition where ‘although the tumor is gone, the life might also fade away.’ While melanoma is a highly malignant tumor, if your immune cells can function properly, you can expect to prevent tumor growth.

Though it is challenging to eliminate the tumor, you may aim to suppress its adverse effects and achieve a positive coexistence with the tumor.

Cordy aims to suppress tumor cell activity by restoring the immune regulation to its original state.

Because it imposes almost no burden on the body, it can be safely administered even to elderly dogs with low vitality. There have been clinical reports of administering Cordy to aged dogs with melanoma.

Additionally, if the dog has no issues with respiration, heart disease, or epilepsy, administering organic germanium can promote blood circulation, eliminate body toxins, and alleviate pain.
*Warning: If your pet is a brachycephalic breed with rapid breathing during normal times, or if they have lung or heart disease, or epilepsy, refrain from using supplements containing organic germanium.

Moreover, for dogs suffering from frequent soft stools or constipation, it is recommended to give supplements containing lactic acid bacteria to improve intestinal health.

Reviewing daily diet is also crucial.
Tumor cells absorb carbohydrates (specifically glucose) faster than normal cells and use it exclusively as their nutritional source, thus promoting growth.

By providing a low-carb diet, the tumor cells are deprived of their nutrients and thus grow less aggressively. Switching to a low-carb, high-protein diet is recommended.

Additionally, since it is an oral tumor, try to provide as soft a diet as possible to avoid stimulating the tumor.

Our laboratory is researching if administering Cordy can facilitate immune regulation and have a beneficial effect on cancer.
"acceptedAnswer": {
      "@type": "Answer",
      "text": "Generally, the primary treatments for tumors are the aggressive treatments suggested by your veterinarian: surgery, radiation therapy, and chemotherapy. However, when the patient is frail, such aggressive treatments can sometimes lead to a 'can't see the forest for the trees' situation, with the tumor being removed but the patient's life becoming endangered. While melanoma is a highly malignant tumor, if the body's immune cells can work properly, they may help prevent tumor growth. Although completely eliminating the tumor is challenging, aiming for a state of coexistence where the tumor does not cause harm might be a viable option. Cordy is designed to suppress tumor cell activity by restoring immune regulation capabilities. It can be safely used even in elderly and frail pets, as it stimulates continuous immune response. If there are no respiratory issues, heart diseases, or epileptic seizures, Cordy with organic germanium is ideal. For pets with unstable bowel movements, such as loose stools or constipation, using 'Cordy with Probiotics' or 'Cordy cultured in azuki bean medium' can improve gut health while stabilizing immunity. Note: Cordy cultured in azuki bean or liquid medium does not pose a risk of grain allergies. Incorporating organic germanium helps alleviate pain, promotes blood circulation, and assists in detoxifying the body."
    }
  }
}

Reevaluating daily meals is also essential. Tumor cells use carbohydrates (specifically glycogen) as their sole nutritional source. They absorb carbohydrates faster than normal cells, leading to their growth. By limiting carbohydrate intake, tumor cells are deprived of their nutrition, making it harder for them to grow. Therefore, we recommend switching to a ‘low-carbohydrate, high-protein diet.’

Additionally, since it’s an oral tumor, try to provide as soft a diet as possible to avoid stimulating the tumor.

Concurrent Tumor (Cancer) and Heart Disease

We often receive consultations from pet owners whose dogs or cats have both tumors (cancer) and heart disease. We have summarized some approaches (suggestions) that may be helpful.

I have a 12-year-old Cavalier. Since the age of 7, I’ve been taking him to a vet regularly because of heart murmurs. During a recent check-up, what appears to be a tumor was found in his intestine. The vet mentioned that anesthesia would be required for further examination of the tumor, but because of his heart condition, I want to avoid anesthesia. The vet also mentioned the risks associated with anesthesia, which worries me.

While I’ve been advised to monitor the situation, it is tough to do nothing and just watch. Is there any other measure I can take?

Cavaliers are particularly prone to mitral valve disease, so it is excellent that you are conducting regular check-ups. Given your dog’s age and the presence of a tumor, his immune system is likely quite weakened.

By restoring the compromised immune system to its normal state, it is expected that the activity of the tumor can be suppressed, or even the tumor itself can be reduced.

Even if a reduction in the tumor is not observed, there are cases where dogs can peacefully coexist with the tumor while maintaining their quality of life (QOL).

Regarding the heart murmur in your dog, how severe is the heart disease?

As a basic approach, try to boost the immune system without putting too much strain on the body. Additionally, actively review his diet by referring to the articles summarized here.

Cordy conducts research with the goal of suppressing tumor cell activity by normalizing immune regulation. As it places almost no burden on the body, Cordy can be safely administered to dogs with heart conditions or elderly dogs with low stamina. There are clinical studies where it has been administered in similar cases.

If the heart disease is not severe and there is always someone available to monitor your dog, it is also recommended to give a supplement containing organic germanium. Organic germanium can potentially improve blood circulation and alleviate pain.
*Please avoid using supplements containing organic germanium if your dog usually breathes rapidly, has heart or lung conditions, or experiences seizures, and there is no constant supervision.

If your dog has poor intestinal health, experiences diarrhea or constipation, or has digestion issues, consider giving a probiotic supplement.

Even if there’s no reduction, some dogs maintain their quality of life and coexist peacefully with the tumor. Regarding the heart murmur, how severe is her heart condition? If her heart disease is not severe and there’s someone who can constantly check on her, we recommend Cordy with organic germanium. Organic germanium promotes blood flow and relieves pain. Cordy’s effectiveness is enhanced when the daily dose is divided into multiple portions, allowing the organic germanium to be absorbed in smaller quantities, preventing excessive blood flow promotion."
    }
  }
}

However, if you can only divide the dosage once or twice a day, or if the heart disease is severe, there is a concern that the blood flow-promoting effects may put a burden on the body. In such cases, please use Cordy that does not contain organic germanium.

About the Use of Cordy for Mammary Tumors

This is a 12-year-old rescued female cat. She underwent surgery for a mammary tumor when she was 7 years old, but recently, another lump that looks like a tumor has been found. She is still energetic and has a good appetite, and her blood tests show no abnormalities. Her veterinarian suggested trying surgery once more.

However, after her previous surgery, it took a long time for her energy and appetite to return, so the family would prefer to avoid surgery if possible. The new lump does not seem to be growing much in size compared to when it was first discovered.

Since 90% of mammary tumors in cats are said to be malignant, they are prone to recurrence and metastasis even after surgery. Therefore, it is highly likely that this new lump is also a mammary tumor. Ideally, the tumor would be removed, and thorough post-operative care would be provided. However, if surgery is not desired, it is essential to quickly restore the imbalanced immune system so the body’s immune cells can fight the tumor.

Fortunately, the growth rate of the new lump is slow, suggesting it is not highly malignant. Therefore, it is essential to adjust her immune balance effectively while the tumor is still not very aggressive.

Cordy is believed to have an effect of balancing the immune system, which could be beneficial for cats suffering from mammary tumors.

If there are no issues with her respiratory status, heart disease, or epilepsy, supplements containing organic germanium can be safely used. However, if there are any concerns, it is advisable to avoid supplements with organic germanium.

If she has a tendency to have soft stools or constipation, it suggests an imbalance in her intestinal environment. In such cases, it is recommended to use supplements containing lactic acid bacteria.

Cordy can also be used externally. If the tumor increases and breaks through the skin (ulcerates), it has been reported that spraying the supernatant obtained by suspending Cordy in 100ml of water and allowing it to settle on the affected area can assist in skin repair and odor reduction.

The sedimented Cordy that does not dissolve in water can be used as an oral medication.

Since she is currently eating well, switching to a “low-carbohydrate, high-protein diet” is important to deprive the tumor of nutrients and build the cat’s own strength.

While daily meals nourish the body, cats are sensitive to taste, so make the dietary switch gradually and patiently.

She is active and has a good appetite, and her blood tests show no abnormalities. Her vet suggested another surgery. However, she took a long time to recover her energy and appetite after the previous surgery, so the family wants to avoid surgery if possible. The new lump doesn't seem to have grown much since it was first discovered. Would Cordy be effective for a cat like her?",
"acceptedAnswer": {
"@type": "Answer",
Here's the translated text:

---

As it is said that 90% of mammary gland tumors in cats are malignant, these tumors tend to recur or metastasize even after surgery. Therefore, it is highly likely that the new lump is also a mammary gland tumor. Ideally, the root tumor should be removed, and thorough post-operative care should be provided. However, if surgery is not preferred, it is essential to restore the currently compromised immune balance as soon as possible and enable the cat's immune cells to fight the tumor.

Fortunately, the growth rate of the new lump is slow, indicating a low malignancy. Thus, it is crucial to restore immune balance while the tumor is not aggressive. Cordy (Cordyceps) is expected to help balance the immune system, making it potentially beneficial for cats with mammary gland tumors.

If your cat does not have any issues related to respiration, heart disease, or epilepsy, you can safely use supplements containing organic germanium. However, if there are any such health issues, it is better to avoid supplements with organic germanium. For cats with unstable stool conditions such as frequent soft stools or constipation, it is recommended to use supplements containing lactic acid bacteria to improve intestinal health.

Cordy can also be used externally. If the tumor grows and breaks through the skin surface (self-ulcers), you can spray the affected area with a supernatant liquid obtained by suspending 1 gram of Cordy in 100 ml of water and letting it stand. This may aid in skin repair and odor reduction. The sediment, which does not dissolve in water, still retains its efficacy and can be used orally. There is also a liquid culture Cordy grown in liquid medium with Cordyceps, which can be used as well.

Since your cat is eating well, switching to a 'low-carb, high-protein diet' is important to prevent the tumor from getting nutrients while boosting the cat's strength. A cat's body is built through its daily diet, but since cats have sensitive palates, switch their food gradually without rushing.

Consideration on the Combined Use of Cordy and Palladia for Dogs with Mast Cell Tumors

My beloved dog has been diagnosed with a mast cell tumor and is currently taking a medication called Palladia. Recently, I have noticed a slight decrease in appetite.

I am unsure whether to continue the medication as it is.

Palladia is a medication that targets specific molecules unique to cancer cells and is expected to minimize side effects compared to conventional chemotherapy.

Although it is commonly used for treating mast cell tumors, it remains a type of chemotherapy drug. These drugs and targeted therapies are meant to prevent the decrease of quality of life (QOL) caused by tumors. However, if these treatments result in decreased energy levels or appetite, it could further degrade QOL and potentially pose life-threatening risks.

Has the decrease in appetite been observed since starting Palladia?

If the amount of food intake is decreasing, it is possible that the levels of proteins in the body are lower than normal.

When the body lacks adequate protein, it can hinder the effective transport of medications, potentially exacerbating side effects.

Please check the amount of protein in the food currently being fed, and aim for a diet that is low in carbohydrates (specifically sugars) and high in protein, such as a low-carb, high-protein diet that limits nutrients for cancer cells.

If you have any questions regarding the diet, please feel free to contact us.

At the Cordy Laboratory, we are researching the interactions when combining the immune-modulating component Cordy with chemotherapy drugs like Palladia.

Unless there are issues with breathing at rest, severe heart conditions, or seizures (epileptic fits), it may be appropriate to provide supplements containing organic germanium.
Organic germanium is expected to alleviate pain and promote blood flow, which helps in the elimination of toxins from the body.

If your pet frequently experiences soft stools or constipation and you are concerned about their intestinal environment, consider giving them a supplement containing lactic acid bacteria. This can help stabilize their immune function and improve their gut health.

Our laboratory is conducting research on whether administering Cordy can modulate the immune system and if it can be effective against cancer.

If you have any questions, please contact us here.

      "@type": "Answer",
      "text": "Palladia is a drug that targets specific molecules unique to cancer cells, and compared to traditional chemotherapy, it is expected to have fewer side effects. It is often used in the treatment of mast cell tumors, but even though it has fewer side effects, it is still a type of chemotherapy. Chemotherapy and targeted molecular therapies are intended to prevent the decline in the quality of life (QOL) caused by tumors. If using these drugs results in a decrease in energy or appetite, it could further lower QOL and even potentially endanger life. Is the decrease in appetite happening since you began using Palladia? A decrease in food intake may indicate that the protein levels in the body are lower than the standard range. If the body lacks adequate protein, the drug cannot be effectively transported, which could lead to more severe side effects. Please check the protein content in the food you are currently providing and aim for a 'low carb, high protein diet' to limit carbohydrates (strictly speaking, sugars) that nourish cancer cells. Detailed dietary recommendations are available on our website, so please refer to those. Cordy can be used in conjunction with Palladia or other chemotherapy drugs, and we have received reports that it can help reduce side effects when used together. One option is to take a break from Palladia and monitor the situation with Cordy alone. If you are hesitant to stop the medication, we recommend increasing the dose of Cordy to help mitigate side effects. Cordy with organic germanium is optimal unless there are issues with breathing at rest, severe heart disease, or epilepsy seizures. Organic germanium can help alleviate pain, promote blood flow, and facilitate the detoxification process within the body. For concerns about soft stools, constipation, or gut health, Cordy that has been dual-cultured with lactobacillus is ideal to help establish immunocompetence and improve gut health at the same time."

“If your pet has an allergy to grains such as brown rice, Cordyceps cultured on adzuki beans or liquid medium would be a suitable alternative, as it poses no risk of triggering a grain allergy.”

Is it effective for benign mammary tumors?

We often receive inquiries from pet owners whose dogs or cats have been diagnosed with benign mammary tumors. Cordy can be expected to have an effect on benign tumors as well, so please consider this as a reference.

I have an 8-year-old Toy Poodle. During a grooming session, I was told there is a lump in the mammary gland, and after a cytology test at our local vet, it was diagnosed as a benign tumor. However, since the tumor is still small, it was recommended to perform surgery sooner rather than later.

Although my dog is healthy and has a good appetite, I am honestly scared of subjecting my beloved dog to anesthesia. While researching other options besides surgery, I came across the Cordy Laboratory.

There is a 50% chance that mammary tumors in dogs are malignant. While the current tumor is benign, benign tumors can grow larger over time and exhibit similar behaviors to malignant tumors. If the tumor grows larger, the surgery would require longer anesthesia and the incision would be bigger.

Since your dog is still relatively young at 8 years old and has a good appetite, the risk associated with anesthesia is not considered very high. However, as your dog enters the senior phase of life, the immune system will gradually weaken, which can lead to tumor growth.

Before any anesthesia procedure, a blood test is always conducted. If there are no issues with the blood test, surgery might be worth considering.

However, if you are particularly fearful of surgery, maintaining and boosting your dog’s immune system can help suppress tumor cell activity.

Cordy is being researched to see if it can suppress tumor cell activity by restoring the regulatory function of the immune system.

It’s generally very safe and can be administered even to dogs with lower energy levels. There are clinical reports of Cordy being administered to dogs and cats with benign and malignant mammary tumors.

Additionally, unless your dog has respiratory issues, heart disease, or epilepsy, you can use organic germanium to promote blood flow, eliminate toxins from the body, and alleviate pain.

As dogs enter the senior phase, circulation can become sluggish. Enhancing circulation and detoxifying the body with organic germanium can stabilize the immune system.

*We recommend avoiding supplements containing organic germanium if your dog is a brachycephalic breed with rapid breathing at rest, or has pulmonary diseases, heart diseases, or epilepsy.

For dogs with frequent loose stools or constipation, giving supplements containing probiotics to improve gut health is also recommended.

Switching to a low-carbohydrate, high-protein diet can help prevent the activation of tumor cells and potentially suppress tumor growth.

However, since the tumor itself is still small, it was recommended to perform surgery while it's still manageable. The dog is energetic and has a good appetite, so I think now would be the best time if surgery were to be done. On the other hand, I am honestly a bit scared to subject my pet to anesthesia. I found out about Cordy while researching if there's any other method besides surgery. Is it effective for benign tumors?",
    "acceptedAnswer": {
      "@type": "Answer",
      "text": "There is a 50% chance that mammary tumors in dogs are malignant. Although your pet's tumor is benign, it could gradually grow larger and may exhibit dynamics similar to malignant tumors. If the tumor grows larger, both the duration of anesthesia and the size of the surgical wound will increase.
Given that your dog is still relatively young at 8 years old and has sufficient energy and appetite, the risk of anesthesia is considered to be not very high. However, as your dog enters the senior phase, its immune strength will gradually decrease, raising concerns about tumor growth.
If anesthesia is necessary, a blood test is always done in advance. If the blood test results do not indicate any problems, considering surgery might be a good option."
    }
  }
}

If, however, you find surgery too frightening, you can help suppress the activity of tumor cells by maintaining your dog’s immune strength. By consistently giving them Cordy, it is expected that their immune cells will be continually stimulated, keeping their overall immune system in good condition.

If there are no issues with respiratory or heart conditions, Cordy with organic germanium is optimal. Organic germanium is expected to help maintain proper blood flow. As your dog enters their senior years, their body’s circulation tends to slow down. By promoting proper circulation and enhancing detoxification, immune stability can be more easily achieved.

Additionally, switching your dog’s diet to a “low-carbohydrate, high-protein diet” may help suppress tumor growth by not activating the tumor cells.

Concurrent Cases of Tumors (Cancer) and Epileptic Seizures (Epilepsy)

We have compiled methods for dealing with cases where dogs and cats are suffering from both tumors (cancer) and epilepsy (seizures). Please refer to them as needed.

My pet currently has a tumor, but due to epileptic seizures, aggressive treatment is not possible. How should we handle such cases?

For pets with epileptic seizures, it is considered best to avoid stimulating blood flow and nerves as much as possible.
Organic germanium has a blood circulation-promoting effect, so it is advisable to refrain from using supplements containing organic germanium.

Moreover, since tumor cells grow by using carbohydrates (specifically sugars) as nutrients, it is highly recommended to significantly reduce the amount of carbohydrates in their diet.

Considering the physiological needs of dogs and cats, which require more protein than humans, ensure they receive ample animal-based proteins such as meat and fish. In particular, it is expected that actively consuming DHA found in fish can help suppress epileptic seizures.
We recommend using bluefish rich in DHA and salmon, which also contains the antioxidant astaxanthin.

Concurrent Tumor (Cancer) and Renal Failure

We occasionally receive consultations from those whose dogs or cats are suffering from both tumors (cancer) and renal failure (kidney disease). Here, we have compiled some measures (ideas) for your reference.

It is said that a diet for tumors should be “high in protein“, while for renal failure, it should be “low in protein“. What kind of diet should we provide?

Tumor cells use carbohydrates (specifically sugars) as a source of nutrition, so we recommend a “low-carbohydrate high-protein diet“. However, in the case of renal failure, protein must be somewhat restricted.

Most commercially available therapeutic diets for kidneys tend to excessively restrict protein.

Because protein is overly restricted, these diets contain a high amount of carbohydrates to supplement the necessary calories. This can result in tumor growth and a lack of energy, causing your pet to break down its own muscles for energy.

As a result, the muscles can become emaciated, leading to difficulty walking, and the metabolic rate drops, making it harder for immune cells to function properly.
Therefore, we recommend a diet with “moderate protein” rather than a “low-protein diet”.

The tolerance to protein in pets with renal failure varies from individual to individual.
Gradually increase the amount of protein and determine the appropriate protein level for your pet through regular blood tests.

Additionally, by ingesting “amino acids”—after the protein has been broken down in the body—rather than protein itself, it is possible to reduce the burden on the kidneys.

We recommend using “amino acid supplements such as BCAA” or conducting “amino acid infusions” at veterinary clinics.

Furthermore, to reduce kidney inflammation, we recommend supplementing with “krill oil that contains EPA and DHA“.

For more details on the diet for pets with renal failure, please refer to the article below.

      "@type": "Answer",
      "text": "Tumor cells use carbohydrates (specifically sugars) as their nutrient source, so a 'low carbohydrate, high protein diet' is recommended; however, for kidney failure, it’s necessary to restrict protein to some extent.
Most of the kidney-specific therapeutic diets currently available on the market excessively limit protein.
Due to the excessive restriction of protein, these diets contain a high amount of carbohydrates to make up for the required calories, leading to tumor growth and an energy deficit in the body. As a result, the body digests its own muscles for energy."
    }
  }
}

“`
As a result, muscle atrophy may occur, leading to difficulty in walking, and a decline in metabolism can make it harder for immune cells to function properly. Therefore, our company recommends a “moderate-protein diet” rather than a “low-protein diet.” The tolerance to protein in pets with renal failure varies from individual to individual. Gradually increase the protein intake and find the appropriate amount of protein for your pet through regular blood tests.

Additionally, by consuming protein in the form of amino acids, which are broken down in the body, rather than protein per se, we can reduce the burden on the kidneys. We recommend using amino acid supplements such as BCAAs or having amino acid infusions administered at veterinary hospitals.

Furthermore, to control kidney inflammation, we recommend using krill oil, which can provide EPA and DHA. For more information on meals for pets with renal failure, please refer to the following article.

On the Use for Gastrointestinal Lymphoma

I have a 15-year-old cat. For the past few months, it has been experiencing consistent diarrhea. Despite using antibiotics, there was no improvement, and upon further examination, my cat was diagnosed with gastrointestinal lymphoma.

The attending veterinarian strongly recommended chemotherapy, but I am worried whether my cat’s body can handle it at this age. The vet also mentioned that my cat’s appetite has slightly decreased and advised me to let it eat anything as long as it will eat it.

Is chemotherapy the only treatment option available?

Lymphoma is a type of tumor that generally responds well to chemotherapy, but it is crucial to consider the overall condition, such as age, general health, appetite, and blood test results, to determine whether the treatment is suitable.

Given the advanced age of your cat, its poor appetite, and ongoing diarrhea, initiating chemotherapy immediately poses a high risk of side effects.

In cases of gastrointestinal lymphoma, there is a concern that the tumor may grow and obstruct the intestines (intestinal blockage). Therefore, it might be beneficial to calm the tumor’s swelling with steroids while addressing diarrhea and improving appetite in the meantime.

Steroids have been shown to be quite effective in treating lymphoma, and studies have reported that combining steroids with Cordyceps can help manage lymphoma symptoms.

⇒ ‘Case Report 2: Lymphoma’

However, steroids have the effect of suppressing the immune system, which means prolonged use could create an environment where tumor cells can thrive.

Maintaining immune strength can potentially mitigate the side effects of steroids.

Additionally, supplements containing organic germanium may improve blood circulation and reduce pain, which could be considered. However, if breathing issues or heart disease are present, it is safer to avoid supplements containing organic germanium. Supplements with lactic acid bacteria are recommended if the intestinal condition is poor (such as chronic diarrhea or constipation).

Regarding diet, it is essential to ensure adequate food intake for strengthening the body, and forced feeding may be necessary if the cat cannot eat on its own.

However, allowing the cat to eat “anything it wants” might result in consuming nutrients that could feed the tumor.

Tumors derive their nutrition from carbohydrates, specifically sugars. Therefore, it is best to avoid feeding rice, bread, potatoes, and sweets to the cat as much as possible.
Instead, focus on providing adequate protein as it can starve tumor cells and helps maintain muscle mass, improving overall strength.
Especially for cats, which are obligate carnivores, the intake of protein is indispensable.

You may give your pet meat or fish, and Green Tripe (the stomach of ruminant animals) is rich in digestive enzymes, high in calories, and high in protein. Even if only a small amount is consumed, it can provide some level of energy.

(*High-protein foods are not recommended if there is concurrent kidney failure. Please refer to the article “Concurrent Tumors and Kidney Failure“.)

Regarding meals, please refer to the following:

Combining Immune Therapy with Cancer Treatment

Enhancing immunity along with cancer treatments at animal hospitals has shown to improve prognosis in many cases. There have been numerous reports indicating that, even if the tumor does not completely disappear, the pet’s vitality and appetite can recover, potentially improving their quality of life (QOL).

    "text": "Lymphoma is a type of tumor that generally responds relatively well to chemotherapy. However, the decision to use chemotherapy should be based on an overall assessment of your cat's age, general condition, appetite, and blood test results. Given your cat's advanced age, poor appetite, and ongoing diarrhea, immediate chemotherapy poses a high risk of side effects. For gastrointestinal lymphoma, there is also a concern that as the tumor grows, it may obstruct the intestines (intestinal blockage). Using steroids to reduce the tumor's swelling might help stabilize the diarrhea and improve appetite in the meantime. Steroids can be particularly effective in managing lymphoma, and there are cases where combining steroids with Cordyceps (Cordyceps militaris) has helped manage lymphoma symptoms.

Steroids, however, suppress the immune system, potentially creating an environment conducive to tumor cell proliferation. Cordyceps, on the other hand, helps regulate the immune system, which can counteract the immunosuppressive effects of steroids. It is advisable to use 'Cordyceps' if there is respiratory or heart disease involved and 'Cordyceps with organic germanium' if there are no such issues. Additionally, for cats with unstable stool quality, like persistent soft stool or constipation, 'Cordyceps with probiotics' may be beneficial to improve both immune function and intestinal health.

Regarding diet, ensuring adequate nutrition is essential for maintaining strength. If your cat cannot eat on its own, force-feeding may be necessary. However, a diet of 'anything that they will eat' could include nutrients that support tumor growth. Tumors utilize the glucose in carbohydrates as a nutrient source, so avoid feeding rice, bread, potatoes, or sweets. Instead, focus on providing a protein-rich diet to starve the tumor cells, maintain muscle mass, and enhance overall strength. Cats are obligate carnivores, making protein intake vital. You can feed meat or fish, and products like green tripe, which is rich in digestive enzymes, high in calories, and protein-rich, can be a good source of energy even if your cat eats only a small amount.
